What's Going On at Goff?

Message from Mrs. McCaughey

Dear Goff Community, My name is Kim McCaughey and I am so excited to introduce myself as the principal of Goff Middle School. I am honored to have been selected to become part of the Goff Family and Community. To tell you that Goff holds a special place in the hearts of my family members is an understatement! My husband and his 5 siblings all attended Goff. In addition, their uncle was a teacher at Goff for many, many years. I am so happy to be part of a school community that has prepared our family for our future.

I come to you with 30 years of experience in the field of education. I have been both an educator and administrator with the Pawtucket School Department since 2002. Most recently, I have been principal of Goff since July 2019.  Prior to coming to Goff, I served as an administrator at Baldwin and Cunningham.  From 2002 – 2011, I was a reading specialist/consultant, Literacy Coach, and District Literacy Coordinator in Pawtucket. Prior to that, from 1993- 2002, I worked as a teacher in an alternative school setting.

I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to the Goff Community! Along with the teachers and staff at Goff, I will continue to work hard to continue the positive growth at Goff by building strong relationships with: staff, students, parents, and community partners. I am eager and excited to begin what promises to be a great year at Goff.

I look forward to working with the entire Goff community to help each student meet their goals and have a successful school year. I look forward to getting to know you and your children. Should you need to reach me, the best way is via email.  My email is [email protected] I look forward to meeting you soon.

Best regards,

Kim McCaughey

Principal
